Despite numerous technologies to divert waste streams from landfill, much of our waste still ends up at a landfill facility. As a result of this many experts agree that there will most probably always be a need for landfill facilities in some form or other. Landfills are highly technical, engineered structures and as a result require numerous barrier systems, landfill linings, for containment purposes. The function of these barrier systems is to avoid toxic liquids from possibly penetrating the subsoil aquafers and polluting the environment.
EPLSA is committed to protecting our environment and as a result offers superior products and services to this end. We supply landfill lining systems that conform to the international GRI-GM13 and SANS 1526 specifications for geomembrane composition. Any geomembrane project is only as functional as the installation quality enables it to be. With this in mind we offer a detailed Quality Control package for the entire site installation process.
This entails conformance testing of the geomembrane at time of manufacture, site testing of all welds and penetrations, detailed documentation and tracking of the testing as well as the composition of detailed reports for our clients. All our testing conforms to the international GRI-GM13 specification, as well as the SANS 10409 specification for the design and installation of geosynthetic membranes.
